KOTA TINGGI, March 18 ― Three men were charged in the Magistrate's Court here today with the murder of the Semenchu Wanita Umno branch head, Zalfah Jamaluddin, 68, on February 28.
Amirul Syahid Mohamad Razali, 20, Hairulnizam Salleh, 25, and Mazlan Kassim, 21, all of whom were from Felda Semenchu, were alleged to have committed the offence at the victim's house at No. 36, Blok 2, Felda Semenchu, at 12.20pm.
All of them stated that they understood the charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code which was read before Magistrate Mazana Sinin.
Mazana set April 22 for remention of the case and the autopsy report on the victim.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Suhaila Shafi'uddin appeared for the prosecution while all the accused were not represented. ― Bernama
