KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 — A security guard allegedly drove away a van containing RM250,000, while his two colleagues were sending money to the Maybank branch in Wisma Consplant, Subang Jaya near here today.
The two tried to contact the missing guard via walkie-talkie but failed.
They lodged a police report on the incident which occurred at about 9am.
Subang Jaya police chief ACP Yahaya Ramli said the three security guards were tasked with collecting the weekend takings from a fast-food restaurant in Shah Alam and two petrol stations at the Shah Alam Highway for deposition at the Maybank branch in the building.
He said the fugitive was unarmed and had just started work at a security company on October 1.
Meanwhile, the police want to contact Mohd Fahamy Mohammad Ramly, 30, to facilitate investigations into the missing money. — Bernama
