KANGAR, Dec 13 — A fishmonger was electrocuted early today as he clutched an electric cable to climb out of a ditch here where he had been catching fish.
Mohammad Demo Ali, 52, of Kampung Lubuk Gajah, Padang Melangit, near here was found dead at about 1.30am, said Kangar OCPD Supt Abd Rahman Mohd Nordin.
He said Mohammad Demo had been catching fish in the ditch and had clutched an electric cable at a post when getting out of the water.
The power supply had to be disconnected before personnel from the Tuanku Fauziah Hospital in Kangar could remove the body from the spot, he added. — Bernama
