KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 — A foreign recruitment agent was today jailed for 15 years and ordered to be given 10 strokes of the cane by the Ampang Sessions Court here for raping his 12-year-old daughter four years ago.
Judge Chan Jit Li in her decision on the 53-year-old man who was charged with committing the offence at a house in Ampang Jaya between 2006 and March 2012, said the defence had failed to cast any reasonable doubt on the prosecution’s case.
The court also rejected counsel Mohd Zulfiqri Zakaria’s application for a stay of execution of the sentence and ordered the man to serve his term from today.
