BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec 8 — Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam are scheduled to hold their annual talks here tonight.

Najib arrived here early today for the 17th Annual Leaders Consultation with the sultan.

The Malaysian prime minister was accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.

Najib was welcomed by Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, who represented the Government of Brunei Darussalam; Malaysia’s High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Datuk Awang Sahak Awang Salleh and Malaysian foreign ministry officials.

Najib and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah are also scheduled to officially open the Friendship Bridge which connects the Limbang Division in Sarawak and the Temburong District in Brunei Darussalam.

The four-eyed talks between Najib and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah is to be held at the Istana Nurul Iman.

The two leaders are also scheduled to witness the signing of two documents pertaining to cooperation in the hydrocarbons sector and development of cooperatives.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah is scheduled to host a dinner tonight for Najib, Rosmah and the Malaysian delegation. — Bernama
