KUANTAN, Dec 6 — A man and his son who went missing after falling into floodwaters in Sungai Isap on Wednesday have been found dead, police said.
The bodies of Jamali Jani, 45, a member of the Pekan Umno committee, and his son, Mohd Nazli, 17, a Form Five student, were found today in a canal near Taman Guru, said Pahang Chief Police Officer Datuk Sharifuddin Ab Ghani.
Mohd Nazli’s body was recovered at 9.30am while his father’s body was found at 2.40pm, he said.
The bodies had been sent to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital here, he told Bernama.
Jamali and Mohd Nazli were reportedly transferring household items into a boat at 7.30pm on Wednesday when the vessel capsized and they fell into the fast-flowing floodwaters. — Bernama
