ALOR SETAR, Dec 2 — Police are hunting for a teenager, believed to be the boyfriend of Nor Syafikah Nadia Rusdi, 14, who was found murdered with her two sisters on Friday.
Kedah police chief Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim said the boyfriend, believed to be in Arau, Perlis could aid investigation into the murder of three sisters in Alor Semela, Jalan Datuk Kumbar.
“Police have the proof and witnesses who are assisting in the investigation of the murder case under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
“I believe the teenager can be found soon,” he told reporters after handing over Spanco Proton Preve to police district chiefs at Kedah police headquarters, here today.
The bodies of Nor Syafikah’s two sisters, Nur Izzati Husna, 12, and Puteri Nurul Akma, 3, were found at 3.45pm in an irrigation canal in Kampung Padang Tani, 3.5km from Kampung Alor Senibong, Langgar, where her body was found on Saturday.
The three sisters left home on a motorcycle ridden by Nor Syafikah at 7.30pm last Friday and failed to return.
Ahmad said the police believed that the three sisters did not commit suicide because there were elements of crime on Nor Syafikah’s body.
He appealed to members of the public with information or who saw the incident to come forward and help the police to solve the murder case.
An autopsy on the bodies of Nur Izzati Husna and Puteri Nurul Akma were conducted at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, Alor Setar this morning. — Bernama
