KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 29 — The recognition given by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on Malaysia’s transformation programmes is proof of their success, said Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
The prime minister said: “This recognition from the OECD is proof of the success of Malaysia’s Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), Government Transformation Porgamme (GTP) and other transformation policies.”
Najib said this in his latest Twitter post over a report in a local daily on the recognition given by OECD on Malaysia’s efforts to transform its economy and provide a conducive investment climate that is pro-business.
The OECD also lauded Malaysia’s introduction of comprehensive policies including the New Economic Model as well as efforts to improve the delivery system that has contributed to Malaysia’s economic growth.
The review was undertaken by OECD together with the Asean secretariat supported by the Asean-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement Economic Cooperation Support Programme and the Japanese government. — Bernama
