SHAH ALAM, Nov 29 — Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has denied an allegation he paid claims totalling RM15 million to State Economic Adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim last year.

When approached by reporters after the State Assembly session here today, the Selangor mentri besar (picture) said: “It’s not true.”

Meanwhile, Press Secretary to the Mentri Besar, Arfaa’ Eza Abdul Aziz also denied the allegation and insisted Khalid never made any statement on the claims.

“The Mentri Besar’s Office never issued any statement on Anwar’s claims. I am surprised how the issue came about, even saying it was posted on the state government official website.

“I did some checking and found that no such report was posted and does not dismiss it as a ploy by irresponsible people,” she told Bernama.
