SEREMBAN, Nov 25 — Negeri Sembilan Umno liaison body will be managed like a corporate body from Jan 1, 2014, said chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
Mohamad, who is also Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar said the time has come for the State Umno to operate full time and no longer on voluntary basis.
“In today's IT scenario, we must manage Umno full time. At times, voluntary work don't accomplish much. So, we have to make it a full time job.
“The Negeri Sembilan Umno meeting today decided to establish an operation room to run parallel with the Negeri Sembilan Umno liaison body,” he told reporters after chairing the first meeting of Negeri Sembilan Umno, here today.
The operation room will have a full time director and will have departments or units such as training, media, membership, registration, voters and others.
“Although Umno is managed like a corporate body, we still have voluntary posts such as secretary, treasurer and information chief.” — Bernama
