KUCHING, Nov 24 — The Home Ministry has not decided to take stern action against any party calling for a review of the agreement which led to the formation of Malaysia, said Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.

He said to date no individuals had been called for investigation over their statements which touched on the 18-point Sarawak and 20-point Sabah agreements.

Speaking to the media after opening a Crime Prevention Programme with Kampong Santubong Residents about 30km here, Wan Junaidi said several members of Parliament were also involved in raising the matter in the Dewan Rakyat.

“Now I am only warning them on the scope and limitations of their speech so as not to go overboard,” he said.

According to him, attempts to revive the agreement issue if not handled well could lead to disharmony in the country. — Bernama
