KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22 — A lawyer pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today to criminal breach of trust (CBT), involving RM2 million, last year.
Ong Keh Keong, 40, as solicitor and stakeholder for Delta Park Sdn Bhd, is charged with committing CBT by dishonestly using RM2.34 million received from Ming Kuasa Sdn Bhd for his personal interest.
He is charged with committing the offence at Firma Guaman Ong Partnership, Plaza Mont Kiara here on September 17 last year.
Deputy public prosecutor Amira Sariaty Zainal offered bail at RM150,000 in one surety.
However, lawyer Devan Narayanan Raman, representing Ong, asked for bail to be reduced to RM50,000 in one surety because his client’s assets had been frozen.
Judge Norsharidah Awang then sent bail at RM50,000 in one surety and also ordered Ong to surrender his passport to the court.
The court set December 13 for mention.
