TANGKAK, Nov 20 — A husband and wife were killed when the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) they were travelling in was involved in an accident at Km9.5 Air Keroh-Melaka-Jasin Highway (AMJ) near Parit Fajar, Kesang here, today.
Factory technician Dhahril Yusof, 42, was killed on the spot while his wife, Roslina Mahmod, 40, died at the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital here.
The couple leave behind four children aged between four and 15 years.
Ledang district deputy police chief DSP Mohd Salleh Razak who confirmed the incident said the accident occurred at about 4pm when the couple was returning to their home in Batu 5, Tanjung Gading, Jalan Kesang here, not far from the scene of the crash.
Roslina was driving the vehicle after picking up her husband from a factory in Merlimau, Melaka, when she lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a roadside wall, pinning them in the driver’s seat and in the front passenger seat. — Bernama
