KUANTAN, Nov 11 — Pahang Islamic Religious Department (Jaip) enforcement chief, Mohd Raffli Abdul Malik who was shot dead by an unidentified assailant yesterday, was laid to rest at the Jalan Bukit Ubi Muslim cemetery, here, today at 10.20am.
More than 500 relatives and friends of the late Mohd Raffli attended the funeral.
Earlier, his remains were taken for the burial preparation and prayers at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Mosque in Indera Mahkota, here.
Mohd Raffli, 49, was shot three times by one of three suspects who came in a white Proton Aeroback car to his house yesterday afternoon.
Police are investigating whether his duties as a Jaip enforcement officer had anything to with the killing or other possible motives. — Bernama
