KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 — Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad (Prasarana) today announced that a one-week trial lane closure will be implemented at Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) beginning Monday.
It said in a statement that the LDP left-most lane, specifically at KM21.0 to KM21.2 (Northbound) would be closed starting from November 11 at 12am to November 18. The closure is round-the-clock (24 hours).
“The trial closure is intended to allow Prasarana and its contractors to study the impact of the closure on the traffic flow at LDP.
“Subsequent to the success of the trial lane closure, a permanent road closure will take place which will be implemented soon in order to facilitate the construction works of LRT Station 6,” said the statement.
Thus, Prasarana advised motorists to exercise caution when plying the areas and adhere to the safety signs and speed limit reminders installed along the affected stretches during these construction periods.
“Prasarana regrets the inconvenience caused and wishes to express its gratitude for the continous support shown by the public towards the Line Extension Project (LEP) which is a crucial government-initiated project to further improve the urban rail public transport system in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor,” said the statement. — Bernama
