PENAMPANG, Nov 8 — A couple from Sarawak was found dead in a pool of blood at a seafood-processing factory here this morning.

A witness, who declined to give his name, said he alerted the police after discovering the couple’s bodies in a room, where they stayed in, at about 9.20am with injuries to their heads.

He said the man, 42, came to Sabah to work at the factory several years ago and brought his 44-year-old wife along.

“I saw the couple at around midnight last night and they were still alive then,” he told reporters when met at the scene.

Penampang police chief DSP Ratan Kumar Singh, when contacted, said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

The bodies were sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for post-mortem. — Bernama
