BANGKOK, Oct 18 — The need to use the toilet in a hurry resulted in the arrest of a Malaysian for the possession of cocaine at Don Mueang Airport, here, yesterday.
He was identified as Tiong Ching Huo Eugene, 36, and was arrested in the men’s rest room on the third floor of the international departure terminal, said the airport’s immigration police superintendent, Pol Col Weerayot Karunyathornn at a press conference, here.
Weerayot said Tiong confessed that he bought the cocaine from a Thai girl for 270,000 baht, and expected to sell it in Malaysia for 600,000 baht.
He said the authorities arrested Tiong during a security check at the airport.
Recounting the event leading to the arrest, Weerayot said the suspect walked to the officers and said that he wanted to go to the restroom.
In a suspicious manner, Tiong rushed to the rest room and the officers who followed him found 12 small packets of cocaine of 10 grams each in the toilet bowl, he said. — Bernama
