KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 — With no medical background and barely a month’s worth of training by an illegal doctor, three Bioresonance Sdn Bhd staff members have been putting unsuspecting patients on the electromagnetic machine therapy.

If the staff encountered any problems, their only assistance is a manual on the machine provided by the “magic doctor” upon the completion of their training. This was revealed by the staff aged 19, 20 and 60, who were taken into police custody during the raid at the centre yesterday.

“I have been working here for 18 months now. I told the doctor that I am not highly educated and do not have any medical background, but he assured me that it is not a problem and that he would teach me how to operate the machine,” said the 60-year-old employee.

She claimed she had no idea the doctor was running the centre illegally and that it was registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia as a company involved in food and beverage.

The other two employees — a female aged 19 and her 20-year-old brother — have been working there since early this year.

When asked what they would do if the machine is faulty or if the doctor is not around, the younger sibling said: “We have been given a small manual to refer to if any problem arises.

“The doctor told us that we don’t need any medical background as the machine was easy to handle. We learnt to use it within three weeks,” she said.

She also said that the doctor and staff had never used the machine on themselves.
