KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 — Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor took his oath of office today as a senator for a second term.

He was sworn in before Dewan Negara president Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang at Parliament House. 

Mohamad Ezam, 46, who hails from Klang, Selangor, was first sworn in as a senator on May 3, 2010. He is a former PKR Youth chief.

The senator, who holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the International Islamic University of Malaysia, left PKR and returned to Umno in 2008.

He was the political secretary to PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim when the latter was finance minister while in Umno. — Bernama
