KLANG, Aug 18 — A petrol bomb was hurled into the compound of the house of a manager of a security company at Jalan Aman Perdana 4C/KU5, Taman Aman Perdana here early today.

K. Muthiah, 54, said the incident, which occurred about 2.20am, caused a fire which damaged his house compound and also a Mazda car belonging to his wife which was parked there.

He said he only realised the incident when he went out of the house to check after hearing his dog barking.

“The cement flooring at the porch and my wife’s car were damaged. I also saw fragments of broken glass bottles there,” he told reporters when met at his house here today.

According to Muthiah, he was informed by the security guards at the housing area that they saw two men on a motorcycle stopped in front of his house and then hurled something.

“However, they cannot ascertain the registration number of the motorcycle,” said Muthiah, adding that none of his family members were injured in the incident.

Muthiah had lodged a police report on the incident and North Klang deputy police chief Supt Jani Ahmad, when contacted, confirmed receiving a report on the incident. — Bernama
