KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 — Quizzed over the alleged alien funding of political parties and societies here, the deputy home minister passed the buck today to other ministries, saying he did not have the relevant information.

Datuk Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said the MPs should direct their questions on foreign transactions into such organisations to other ministries, explaining he did not have details on such matters.

“The issue of foreign currency transactions, I can’t answer what I don’t have.

“What I don’t have I can’t give you, very sorry,” Wan Junaidi said in Parliament today during Question Time.

Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican (Kepala Batas) had asked whether the Home Ministry was investigating allegations that foreign funds are funding political parties and causing an “invisible interference in domestic affairs”.

Reezal Merican pointed specifically to allegations about Suaram and alleged claims involving former Indonesian leader Jusof Kalla.
