LAHAD DATU, June 29 – Ops Daulat, the operation to flush out armed Sulu intruders here on March 15, officially ended today as the National Security Council placed full responsibility on the Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM).

According to StarOnline, Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman, who is the state security council chairman, said that ESSCOM was now responsible to put in place security arrangements and undertake operations under the Ops Daulat area.

ESSCOM has now adopted a new operational codename Ops Sanggah, Musa said during a special appreciation parade for Ops Daulat.

ESSCOM will now be in charge of all operations from northern Kudat to south-eastern Tawau to ensure Sabah’s eastern sea borders are safe.
