KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 — The Siow Association of Malaysia, in collaboration with the Pertubuhan Keturunan Seow Kedah and the Pertubuhan Seow Pulau Pinang, will be organising the Northern Region Siow Family Treasure Hunt on November 29.
Approximately 50 cars and 200 participants from Siow clan associations across Malaysia are expected to take part in this exciting event that combines intellect, friendship, and cultural bonding.
The convoy will flag off from the Siow Association of Malaysia headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, passing through Ipoh, Penang, and Sungai Petani, before reaching the final destination in Alor Setar, Kedah.
Upon arrival, a grand dinner will be held in Alor Setar to celebrate the successful journey and strengthen family ties among participants.
The event’s theme “Siow Family Treasure Hunt, One Big Family” reflects the spirit of unity and togetherness among Siow clan members nationwide.
As one of the association’s key annual events, it blends teamwork, geographical knowledge, and creative problem-solving, providing participants with a joyful experience that promotes cooperation and shared wisdom.
Unlike typical treasure hunts, this unique event focuses on “locating business signboards bearing the Siow surname”.
The objective is to help participants discover Siow family enterprises across different industries, fostering support and patronage among clan members.
Through this event, the organisers aim to enhance interaction and solidarity among Siow members nationwide, promote cultural continuity, and inspire the younger generation to take an active interest in clan activities and heritage.
More than just a fun competition, the Siow Family Treasure Hunt serves as a meaningful platform to strengthen unity, uphold shared roots, and advance the “Together We Grow, Together We Prosper” spirit within the Siow community.
