LISBON, Sept 14 — Comedian Nigel Ng or better known as his persona ‘Uncle Roger’ shared photos from his July wedding to lawyer Sabrina Ahmed in Portugal.
In a Facebook post, Ng wrote: “On July 19th, 2025 I married my best friend @sabriiines. Thank you @voguemagazine for featuring our wedding and @niravpatelweddings for capturing it so beautifully. Link in bio for the article and full set of photos.
Now someone please help my uncle find a wife.”
Ng announced his engagement last year and shared photos from a shoot the couple had done in Taiwan.
Also present at Ng’s nuptials was comedian Jimmy O who was one of Ng’s groomsmen.
In the Vogue article, Sabrina shared how she had first encountered Ng by watching his show when he was performing in Miami but only met up with him via a dating app.
She recalled how her friend had described Ng as a guy who ‘jokes about rice’ but despite the less-than-compelling intro, Sabrina found him to be “hilarious” and “actually very cute.”
Nigel told Vogue: “Within a few months, in March 2023, I realized already that I loved her and wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. The rest is history.”
The couple’s wedding took place over three days on the weekend of July 17, and it was a mix of Chinese, Islamic and Indian influences, according to Sabrina.
Pre-wedding the couple hosted a bachelor-bachelorette party that included karaoke, then a traditional sangeet as a nod to Sabrina’s Bengali heritage.
Then on Saturday there was both a Chinese tea ceremony as well as a Western one, followed by a reception.
Sabrina said: “Nigel’s career made it necessary to have excellent Asian food at the wedding; good food is also how he expresses love.”
