KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 — A trio of friends in Seremban has grabbed the attention of local TikTok users for their ‘honk to wish happy birthday’ prank video.
The video shared on the social media platform by user izzahanuar52, has been viewed over four million times since it was shared on Wednesday.
The video begins with a shot of a piece of A4 paper with a note asking road users to honk three times in order to wish their friend a happy birthday written on it, which was placed under the tail light of a red Perodua Bezza.
The next part of the video showed the birthday girl, also known as Kak Dewi who was driving, being overwhelmed by the honking from other road users as her reaction was recorded by another friend in the passenger seat.
Several road users were heard honking as they passed by while Kak Dewi who was oblivious to the prank, getting more annoyed by the ‘birthday wishes’ she was getting.
“Astaghfirullah, what is their problem? I’ve never been honked like this before.
“Oh my god, I’m getting stressed now. I’m stressed.
“I’m driving very carefully now, I don’t know what’s wrong with them,” she said.

The video ends with Kak Dewi realising the note at the back of their car after reaching their destination.
“Thank you very much to the ever sporting people of Seremban people for all the wishes. Apologies for our friend’s initial reactions to the honking.
“She didn’t know that all of you were wishing her at that time,” user izzahanuar52 wrote in their video.
Izzah told mStar that all three of them are office mates and they were inspired to do the prank from a YouTube video.
They planned the prank earlier before going for lunch together to celebrate Kak Dewi’s birthday.
Izzah’s post has gotten over 300,000 likes and been reshared many times on social media with many wishing Kak Dewi a happy birthday.
“This ‘akak’ is a very patient person. The situation would be a lot worse if I were in her place, happy birthday akak,” commented Instagram user aby_putraputri.
“Fortunately this akak is not hot-tempered. If not, she would’ve ended up arguing with everyone on the road,” commented Instagram user Azmuhamadmuaz.
