KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 — Selangor-born student Danial Hansen has just been crowned as Mr. Supranational Malaysia 2023, after a fiercely contested competition held in Kuala Lumpur recently.

According to the organiser Beam Artistes, Danial, 28, will represent Malaysia at the Mr. Supranational 2023 international finals, scheduled to take place in Poland this July.

This victory opens new doors for Danial's personal aspirations in the media and entertainment industry.

“It is such an honour to be the first Malaysian representative for Mister Supranational, which I consider the best male pageant in the world,” he told Malay Mail.

Already a household name in local pageantry, Danial's previous triumph was in winning the Mr Tourism World title for Malaysia in 2019,

By leveraging his newfound prominence, Danial hopes to explore exciting opportunities that will enable him to leave a mark in the entertainment landscape.

Asked how he is preparing for the international finals, Danial replied: "My plan is to go back to basics. From public speaking to catwalk, there’s always room to improve in anything and everything.

“But most importantly this time, I really just want to be fearlessly authentic,” said Danial, who expressed his gratitude to Beam Artistes for the opportunity..

In regard to his greatest strength, Danial said: "No matter what the situation is, I will always find a way to get it done. I’m really consistent and disciplined when it’s time for me to perform.

“As for my weakness, I’m a bit of an introvert when it comes to meeting people. But once I realise that we share a similar mindset then it’ll be easier for me to open up,” he added.

On his motto in life, Danial shared: “If you want to be a leader, you must have ideas, if not, you’re simply a follower.”
