KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 — After former US president Donald Trump was charged in court, interest has grown in the adult star he paid to keep quiet about their alleged affair.
Videos of Stormy Daniels on pornography website Pornhub grew by more than 650,000 times on Tuesday (April 4), the day Trump was brought to court to face 34 charges of falsifying business records, TMZ reported.
According to the site, searches for Daniels were six times their normal level.
Besides searches for the adult star, other keywords gaining momentum on the site are jail and prison.
Trump was accused of paying Daniels, or her real name Stephanie Clifford, US$130,000 (RM572,585) to stay silent about their alleged affair.
According to the New York Post, there were just under 34,500 searches or 32,400 per cent increase for the 44-year-old porn star following Trump's court appearance.
Daniels, who was described as a “mega busty blonde” with “Double-D knockers” by Pornhub had her videos viewed more than 36.5 million times on the site.
The site had declined to reveal how much Daniels is making from the fresh interest in her work.
