KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 — After you are done with the Yayoi Kusama: Life is the Heart of a Rainbow exhibition at the National Gallery Singapore, don’t go just yet.

Stop over at Gallery & Co which is located at the City Hall Wing. It has been given a polka dot makeover in conjunction with the exhibition as well.

While the decor is dottily charming, it is Gallery & Co’s range of products featuring her artworks which you will want to look at. And buy.

Yes, you can now take home something to remind you of Yayoi’s worldview. An enamel mug in those signature polka dots or how about a tote bag featuring the painting from which the exhibition got its title?

At Yayoi’s Tokyo exhibition, the queues for the merchandise were almost as long as the ones to enter the show!

While Gallery & Co will not have as wide a range of merchandise as they did, some of the items here are exclusive to the shop and cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

Each of these enamel pins are key icons from Yayoi Kusama’s works.

You will find an umbrella, enamel pins (the pumpkin will surely be THE hot item), tote bags, pouches, homeware etc all given the Yayoi treatment.

And if you still have not had enough of polka dots and pumpkin shapes (is that even possible?), the cafe at Gallery & Co is serving up a special menu that features her iconic motifs. Singapore style.

It’s positively delightful; I won’t spoil it for you by going into details here. But yes, it’s all very Instagrammable. And delicious. (Don’t forget to add #SGLovesKusama to all your shots!)

This dessert available at the Gallery & Co cafe is a delicious tribute to Yayoi Kusama’s love of pumpkins.

I’d like to think Yayoi herself will approve of the clever culinary interpretation of her motifs. Especially that pumpkin dessert.
