LAFAYETTE, March 20 — It is a surprise to see twins celebrating their 100th birthday.
Albert and Elmer Pfeuffer (Fiffer) marked the occasion in style, with brightly coloured party hats, and a party in Lafayette, Louisiana where Albert lives, with his wife, Dot.
Elmer flew in from his home in Tucson.
Albert is the oldest, and as many older siblings do, dominates the conversation, crediting their longevity to their faith, and their fitness.
“We just follow the path the Lord gives us. We woke up early each morning. We just stayed active, we were very athletic.
“We were caddies at the gold course and did a lot of walking and running.
“Lots of sports added some substance to the longevity I imagine.”
Between them, they have six children, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, so they should have no trouble finding someone to exercise with. — Reuters
