KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 — There’s nothing quite like picking up a cookbook to plan out a delicious spread for the family and this one from “The BIG Life” will surely come in handy.
A labour of love by food enthusiast and CEO of The BIG Group, Benjamin Yong, “The BIG Life” is his debut cook book that features a collection of creative culinary recipes from the kitchens of Ben’s, Plan B, Ben’s General Food Store, Bakar and Beast.
The recipes are inspired by Malaysian cuisine and culture, while taking cue from global food trends and influences. From the nasi ulam at Ben’s, treats at Ben’s Bake Shop to the likes of Plan B and more, you can expect a whole treasure lot of recipes to try out.
These recipes are complemented with beautiful images taken by award-winning Cornwall-based photographer David Griffen. Griffen’s work is highly influenced by the “plough-to-plate” approach which tells the story from preparation, cooking, eating to reminiscing, as much as the complete dish.
Priced at RM119, “The BIG Life” will be available at all restaurants under The BIG Group, Ben’s Independent Grocer and at its online store, BIG Online from December 18.
