NEW YORK, June 3 — A pop-up Pestaurant event will be serving up an assortment of winged, hard-shelled and antennaed bugs in a dozen cities around the world to promote the consumption of edible insects.

From Cape Town to Paris and Washington D.C,  Pestaurant events will challenge squeamish palates unaccustomed to the food staple popular in Asia and Africa to nosh on barbecued mealworms and chocolate-covered ants.

Here’s a look at some of the ways creepy crawlies will be turned into savory and sweet edible dishes for Global Pestaurant Day June 4.

The event is the brainchild of pest control company Rentokil.

At the Occidental Grill in Washington D.C. the menu will include:

Grasshopper burgers

Roasted crickets

Mexican spice mealworms

Roasted mealworms
