LONDON, Oct 10 — The SORTEDfood team tries try the world’s largest fried egg full English breakfast where the ostrich egg alone is 2,000 calories.

The team visited Florentine restaurant, which offers ostrich egg on their menu along with a full English breakfast with bacon, baked beans, mushrooms, sausages, grilled tomatoes and toast, with the option to have the massive egg scrambled, poached or fried.

Choosing to have it fried, the wait staff brought out the ostrich egg to show them how large it was, and the broken shell was brought out to show them how thick it was.

The actual fried egg looked impressively large, and according to the team, the yolk was very rich, almost like a custard while the egg white was impressively thick.

The five-man team did not manage to polish off the breakfast, saying it was fit for 10 people, but suggests those curious about the meal should try the ostrich egg scrambled, as recommended by the restaurant.

So, what was the final verdict? Eggs-cellent!
