WASHINGTON, Oct 29 — US President Donald Trump said yesterday he would stay out Brazil’s post-election turmoil after Flavio Bolsonaro, who fled to the United States after losing, declared himself the true Brazilian leader.

“Well I’m not going to make a comment about that, but I know that we gave him a pass to come into the country, so we’ll see,” Trump told reporters when asked about right-wing ally Bolsonaro’s statement.

“But I won’t get involved. It was a very strange election that’s for sure.” — AFP
