TEHRAN, Jan 12 — Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said the situation in the country was “under total control” after violence linked to protests escalated over the weekend.

According to Reuters, Araqchi said on Monday that warnings by US President Donald Trump against Tehran had encouraged “terrorists” to target both protesters and security forces in an attempt to provoke foreign intervention.
