Putin open to talks with Macron, France says it will consider approach

PARIS, Dec 21 — France has taken note of Russia’s openness to talk to President Emmanuel Macron and will work out the “best manner to proceed” in the next few days, the presidential office in Paris said today.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russian President Vladimir Putin was ready to hold talks with Macron if there is mutual political will, in remarks published by RIA news agency earlier today. — Reuters
