WASHINGTON, May 21 — Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday, had "blood on his hands” for supporting extremist groups in the region, the White House said yesterday.

White House national security spokesperson John Kirby told reporters that the United States will continue to hold Iran accountable for what he called destabilizing activity in the region.

"No question this was a man who had a lot of blood on his hands,” Kirby said. — Reuters
