US Federal Aviation Administration to investigate collision between two JetBlue planes
A JetBlue Airways jet comes in for a landing after flights earlier were grounded during an FAA system outage at Laguardia Airport in New York City, New York January 11, 2023.

WASHINGTON, Feb 8 — The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said today it will investigate the collision between two JetBlue Airways planes on the tarmac at Boston Logan Airport that damaged both planes but caused no injuries.

JetBlue Flight 777, an Airbus A321neo, struck another JetBlue Airbus A321 on an adjacent de-icing pad lane, damaging one aircraft’s winglet and the other aircraft’s tail section, JetBlue and the FAA said.

Both aircraft will be taken out of service for repairs, and JetBlue flight 777 to Las Vegas and JetBlue flight 551 to Orlando will operate on other aircraft, the airline said, adding it will investigate. — Reuters
