Sweden welcomes Turkiye sending Nato bill to parliament

STOCKHOLM, Oct 24 — Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson today said it is gratifying that Turkiye President Tayyip Erdogan has submitted a bill approving the Nordic country’s Natomembership bid to Turkiye’s parliament for ratification.

Sweden applied last year to join the defence alliance but Turkey and Hungary have yet to approve the bid. — Reuters
