BEIJING, March 23 — China’s vice foreign minister Sun Weidong met with his Philippine counterpart Theresa P. Lazaro today in Manila, the Chinese foreign ministry said in a statement.

The two sides reaffirmed the importance of properly managing differences through friendly consultations, as well as maintaining the general direction of Sino-Philippine friendship, the ministry said. — Reuters
