JERUSALEM, March 20 — Israel’s political opposition said today it would file a Supreme Court challenge against legislation by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to change the system for selecting judges.

"The moment the change to the Judicial Appointments Committee passes, we will appeal against it at the Supreme Court,” opposition leader Yair Lapid told his faction, raising the spectre of a battle between parliament and judiciary. — Reuters
