LONDON, March 20 — Britain’s opposition Labour Party Brexit spokesman Keir Starmer will request an emergency debate in parliament on the length and purpose of any extension to the Article 50 Brexit negotiation period, the party said on Twitter.

Labour said today Starmer would request a so-called SO24 emergency debate on the motion: "That this House (of Commons) has considered the matter of the length and purpose of the extension of the Article 50 process requested by the government.”
