Manchester attack condemned, no reports of Singaporeans injured (VIDEO)

SINGAPORE, May 23 — The Republic has strongly condemned this morning’s bomb attack at the Manchester Arena, which killed at least 19 people and injured 50 others.

There have been no reports of Singaporeans directly affected or injured in the incident thus far, according to Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

"Singapore strongly condemns the bomb attack at the Manchester Arena...We express our deepest condolences to the bereaved families, and wish the injured a swift recovery,” the ministry said in a statement.

The MFA and the Singapore High Commission in London have reached out to Singaporeans who are e-registered in Manchester. 

The High Commission is also working closely with the Manchester Police to monitor the situation.

Singaporeans in the United Kingdom are advised to stay in touch with their family and friends to inform them of their safety, said MFA. — TODAY
