One dead after accident along Siglap Road in Singapore

SINGAPORE, Oct 3 — A male motorist has died after he was involved in an accident along Siglap early this morning.

The man was trapped in his vehicle when officers arrived on scene, SCDF said. 

He was pronounced dead by paramedics on the scene.

At around 8.15am, the vehicle was still affecting traffic in the area. 

SBS Transit tweeted that its bus services were delayed along East Coast Road towards the city due to the accident. 

The services affected were Service 10, 14, 40, 155.

A motorist on the scene told TODAY that more than 20 buses were stuck in a chain along East Coast Road. 

Some bus drivers got down from their vehicles to see what was happening, and one said that he had been stuck for more than an hour. — TODAY
