SINGAPORE, Oct 22 — The murder trial of ex-cop Iskandar Rahmat resumes today, where witnesses expected to take the stand could include doctors who examined him after he was arrested.

The 36-year-old, who is accused of murdering Tan Boon Sin, 67, and his son Tan Chee Heong, 42, had injuries to his hand, the investigation officer testified on Tuesday.

When the trial began, the prosecution charged that Iskandar stabbed the two men with the intention of killing them when he robbed the elder Tan.

The defence team, however, is arguing that it was a theft gone wrong, as the older victim, followed by his son, had charged at Iskandar with a knife. — TODAY
