BOLIVIA, June 27 ― A reportedly mentally unstable man went on a stabbing rampage at a Bolivian airport yesterday, injuring 11 people.
The assailant was later identified as Javier Virgilio Cusi Aduviri, a 40-year-old farmer hailing from Santa Rosa. When his request to buy an air ticket to Chile was refused, the disturbed man became infuriated and stabbed people indiscriminately.
A police sergeant sustained injuries as he managed to subdue and arrest him.
The stabbing spree left 11 wounded, nine of them with serious injuries. Authorities confirmed all of the injured were Bolivian citizens.
