Suspicious white substance grounds Singapore Airlines flight (VIDEO)

SINGAPORE, June 10 ― A Singapore Airlines flight bound for Beijing from Singapore was grounded yesterday after an unknown white substance was discovered in the cargo hold.

Some 276 passengers and 16 crew members were aboard the SQ806 flight scheduled to depart from the Changi Airport at 4:50 pm., but the trip was canceled after the airlines staff found some white powder in the cargo hold of the Boeing 777 jet at around 3:45 pm.

After authorities concluded that the substance was harmless, a replacement aircraft departed from Singapore at around 7:20 pm. ― Reuters
