AUGUST 26 — On September 6, 2013, Malay Mail Online had published an article entitled “Anti-crime activist sics cops at MIC Youth leader for gangsterism link” [hereinafter referred to as the said Article]”. The said Article had implicated Mr. Mohan A/L Thangarasu in being involved with the notorious Indian Gangster group i.e. Gang 36. 

Malay Mail Online confirms that at the time of publication of the said article, Malay Mail Online had not ascertained the truth of the source information and/or verify the same prior to its publication. Due to this fact Malay Mail Online sincerely regrets the publication of the said article which has the effect of tarnishing and seriously damaging the reputation of Mr. Mohan A/L Thangarasu.

Malay Mail Online takes this opportunity to apologise to Mr. Mohan A/L Thangarasu for the publication of the said Article in question without first verifying and substantiating the truth of the allegation.”
