ALASKA, Feb 17 — Fans of Oprah Winfrey will be able to set sail with the media maven on an Alaska-bound cruise this year, as part of a personal growth and well-being itinerary that will teach guests how to "live their best life”.
It’s a programme chock full of feel-good, inspirational activities, in keeping with Oprah’s lifestyle and brand motto: There will be meditation, tai chi, healthy cooking demonstrations and an onboard book club.
Developed with editors of Winfrey’s O, The Oprah Magazine, the itinerary will also feature creatives, entrepreneurs and visionaries from SuperSoul 100, a collection of "100 awakened leaders” who will lead workshops.
"I’m so excited to continue 2017 as my Year of Adventure with another bold, new place I’ve never been before: Alaska,” Winfrey said in a statement.
Winfrey will be joined by her BFF and magazine editor-at-large Gayle King on the inaugural sailing to Alaska this July.
Four additional sailings built around Winfrey’s theme "Adventure of Your Life” are scheduled for November 2017, and March, August and October 2018.
To kick off the partnership, O magazine is launching a contest in March that will give three readers the chance to join Winfrey and King on the Alaska cruise this summer.
