SINGAPORE, Nov 19 — You may not be able to "catch’em”, but you’ll certainly get to "meet’em” at Changi Airport over the next few months.
Popular Pokemon characters, such as Snorlax and Pikachu, are now on display at Changi Airport. Ten life-sized Pikachu on Friday (Nov 18) kicked off the Pokemon at Changi year-end festivities with a Pikachu Parade at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 — marching, bobbing and waving to music as cameras flashed.
At the T3 Departure Hall, a 7m-tall Pikachu stands, the largest character installation at Changi Airport so far. Next to the installation, there is a Gingerbread House where passengers and airport visitors may come up close and personal with Pikachu during the weekends, until Jan 1.
At the T2 Departure Hall, three life-sized Snorlax lounge at the Snorlax Garden.
Pokemon trainers and visitors can also embark on a trail to hunt for 26 Pokemon at various locations across Changi Airport. Scanning the QR code at each character location will provide them with more details about the pocket monsters.
Other activities at both Departure Halls include face painting kiosks where visitors can have their faces painted onscreen and transformed to look like Pikachu, and activity kiosks where visitors can make videos of their fun moments and share them with friends and families through social media platforms.
The installations and activities will run from now until February 11, 2017. ― TODAY
