LOS ANGELES, July 3 — It took more than 250,000 bricks of Lego to build the toy version of the One World Trade Centre and the tallest Lego building in the US.
Completed in time for Independence Day at Legoland California Resort, the One World Trade Centre Lego model was unveiled as the latest addition to Miniland New York, which was also reopened this week.
It took eight ‘Master Model Builders’ more than 1,200 hours to build the model, which weighs more than 1,000lbs (453kg), and towers at 26 feet (7.9 metres).
The area also features Lego model replicas of the 9/11 Memorial’s twin reflecting pools, the grove of memorial trees and the World Trade Centre Transportation Hub. — AFP-Relaxnews
